Hilary (Ann) Swank - Awards

Actress, born in Lincoln, Nebraska, USA. As a child she attended a local theatre group, and in 1990 moved to Los Angeles where she began acting professionally, gaining her breakthrough into films with The Next Karate Kid (1994). A number of film and television roles followed and she received a Best Actress Oscar for Boys Don't Cry (1999) and Million Dollar Baby (2004, Golden Globe). Later films include The Black Dahlia (2006).
