Inge de Bruijn

Swimmer, born in Barendrecht, W Netherlands. She won two gold medals and set a European record in the 100 m butterfly event at the European championships in 1999. In 2000 she set world records in the 50 m and 100 m freestyle and the 50 m and 100 m butterfly. She then won gold medals in the 50 m and the 100 m freestyle and the 100 m butterfly at the Sydney Olympics (2000) and set new world records in each of these events.

Inge de Bruijn (born August 24, 1973 in Barendrecht, Zuid-Holland) is a former Dutch swimmer, and a four-time Olympic champion.

De Bruijn resides in Eindhoven, the Netherlands but also trains in Portland, Oregon in the United States part of the year.
