Jean-Claude Killy

Alpine skier, born in Val d'Isère, E France. He won the downhill and combined gold medals at the world championship in Chile in 1966; and in 1968, when the Winter Olympics were held almost on his own ground at Grenoble, he won three gold medals for slalom, giant slalom, and downhill. He turned professional immediately afterwards and pursued a highly profitable career as an endorser and later manufacturer of winter sports equipment.

Jean-Claude Killy (born August 30, 1943) is a French alpine skier and a triple Olympic champion.

Killy won the Triple Crown of Alpine Skiing with 3 gold medals at the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble, France, in the slalom, giant slalom and downhill events.

From 1977 to 1994, he was a member of the Executive board of the Alpine skiing Committee of the Federation Internationale de Ski.
