Johann Friedrich Fasch

Organist and composer, born in Buttelstedt, EC Germany. Educated at the Thomasschule, Leipzig, he was appointed Kapellmeister at Zerbst in 1722. He composed numerous works, including church music, orchestral works, and chamber music, many of which were greatly admired by J S Bach.
