Johann Rudolf Wyss

Writer, born in Bern, Switzerland. He is best known for his completion and editing of Der Schweizerische Robinson (1812–13, trans The Swiss Family Robinson), written by his father, Johann David Wyss (1743–1818). He collected Swiss tales and folklore, and was professor of philosophy at Bern from 1806.
