Golfer, born in Ayr, Queensland, NE Australia. In 1996 she became the first woman to break the $1 million prize-money barrier while playing on the US Ladies' PGA tour, and was named Rookie of the Year. She won the Women's British Open title in 1995, the youngest ever winner, and won it again in 1997 and 2002. Other major tournament titles include the Australian Ladies' Masters (1998, 1999, 2000), Du Maurier Classic (1999), US Women's Open (2000, 2001), the LPGA title (2001), and the Evian Masters (2006).
