Maxime Bossis

French football player, who held the record number of selections (76) for the national team between 1976 and 1986, and took part in three World Cup tournaments (1978, 1982, 1986). A defender, most of his playing career was with French club Nantes, and he retired in 1992. He later became a television football consultant (1998–9).

Maxime Bossis (born June 26, 1955) is a former French football player. While the score was tied at 4-4 , Bossis missed the next penalty, allowing Horst Hrubesch to score the last penalty, and with 5-4, to drive his team to the final.
