A small, toothed whale (Monodon monoceros) native to the Arctic seas; mottled brown; no dorsal fin; two teeth (at front of upper jaw); in male, left tooth grows forwards forming a straight tusk half as long as body; eats fish, squid, and crustaceans. (Family: Monodontidae.)
