oda

In Spanish poetry, a lyrical poem, generally qualified by its thematic type, such as heroica (written by Fernando de Herrera and Manuel José Quintana), the sagrada (San Juan de la Cruz), the moral (Fray Luis de León), the anacreóntica (Juan Meléndez Valdés), the filosófica, and the amatoria. The only feature common to all types of ode is an elevated diction.
