Olav Duun - Bibliography

Novelist, born in Namsdal, Norway. He worked as a teacher from 1904 to 1926. An important representative of new Norwegian writing in Landsmål (‘national language’) between the two World Wars, he made his reputation with a major series of saga-like novels about four generations of peasant landholders in Namsdal in Juvikfolke (6 vols, 1918–23, The People of Juvik).
