Robert Campbell

Trapper and capitalist, born in Aughlane, Ireland. By 1825 he had arrived in St Louis, MO and, with William Sublette, formed the company Sublette and Campbell. He became a hotel owner and bank president and served as an Indian commissioner (1851, 1869).
