Sir Jackie Stewart - Complete Formula One results

Motor-racing driver, born in Milton, West Dunbartonshire, W Scotland, UK. He started in 99 races, and won 27 world championship races between 1965 and 1973, a record until surpassed by Alain Prost in 1987. He was world champion in 1969 (driving a Matra), 1971, and 1973 (both Tyrrell). He retired at the end of 1973, and took up a career in broadcasting. He is also expert at clay pigeon shooting, and has come close to Olympic selection. Since 1996 he has been chairman of Stewart Grand Prix. He received a knighthood in 2001.
