bull (zoology)

A male mammal belonging to one of several species; female usually called cow; young called calf; used especially for uncastrated male cattle (male castrated when young called a bullock, ox, or steer; if castrated when fully grown, called a stag). The name is also used with several other species, including large whales, walrus, elephant seal, elephant, and moose.
