bushmaster

A rare pit viper (Lachesis muta), native to Central and South America; largest venomous snake in the New World; length, up to 3·5 m/11½ ft; the only New World viper to lay eggs; inhabits forests; nocturnal; eats mammals (including small deer); shakes its tail when alarmed, causing loud rustling in undergrowth.

A line of chain guns manufactured by Alliant Techsystems, the most popular being the M242 25mm Bushmaster. Bushmaster IMV, an Australian infantry mobility vehicle operated by the Australian Army. Bushmaster (DC Comics) is the name of a ficticial DC Comics superhero. Bushmaster (Marvel Comics) is the codename for two Marvel Comics super-villains.
