Anne Finch Countess of Winchilsea

Poet, born in Sidmonton, Hampshire, S England, UK. In 1684 she married Heneage Finch, who became Earl of Winchilsea in 1712. Her longest poem, a Pindaric ode called ‘The Spleen’, was printed in 1701, and her Miscellany Poems appeared in 1713. She was a friend of Pope.

Kingsmill was the name of a plantation located in James City County, Virginia.

In the mid-1970s, between Williamsburg and Grove, along U.S. Route 60, the Busch Gardens Williamsburg theme park, a large brewery, and the expansive Kingsmill planned community were developed by Anheuser-Busch Corporation.
