cow parsley

A biennial or perennial (Anthriscus sylvestris), growing to 1·5 m/5 ft, native to Europe, temperate Asia, and N Africa; stems hollow, grooved; leaves divided, leaflets with toothed oval segments; flowers small, white, in umbels 2–6 cm/¾–2½ in across; fruit 7–10 mm/0·28–0·39 in, smooth; also called Queen Anne's lace and keck. It is often the most common and early flowering of the umbellifers. (Family: Umbelliferae.)
