Film actress, producer, and director, born in Roswell, New Mexico, USA. She worked in television before making her film debut in Choices (1981), but her major breakthrough came with St Elmo's Fire (1984). Later films include Ghost (1990), Indecent Proposal (1992), The Scarlet Letter (1995), Striptease (1996), G.I.Jane (1997), and Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle (2003). She co-founded a production company, Moving Pictures, with Suzanne Todd; their work includes Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999). She was married to actor Bruce Willis (198798).
