Derek (Curtis) Bok

University president, born in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, USA. He taught labour and anti-trust law at Harvard Law School, where he was also a reformist dean (1968–71), before becoming president of Harvard University (1971–90). His books include Beyond the Ivory Tower (1982), Higher Learning (1986), and Universities and the Future of America (1990).
