Edinburgh Festival

An international festival of the arts, particularly music and drama, that takes place in August/September every year in Edinburgh, UK. It was established in 1947. As well as the Festival proper, the ‘Fringe’ offers a lively and ever-growing selection of ‘alternative’ events.
