The smallest breed of horse in the world; height, 7 hands/0·7 m/2 ft 4 in; developed by the Falabella family in Argentina; descended from a small thoroughbred and Shetland ponies; now kept mainly as a pet.

Falabella is a department store which originated in Chile. Falabella department stores can be found in Chile, Argentina and Peru.
