Great Bear Lake - Climate, Note

Lake in Northwest Territories, NW Canada, on the Arctic Circle; 320 km/200 mi long; 40–177 km/25–110 mi wide; maximum depth 413 m/1356 ft; area 31 153 km²/12 025 sq mi; drained SW by the Great Bear R; navigable for only four months each year because of ice.
