hammerkop

A large brown bird (Scopus umbretta), native to tropical Africa and SW Arabia, also known as hamerkop, hammerhead, hammer-headed stork, or anvilhead; feathers on head give a hammer-like profile; lives near water; eats mainly fish, frogs, and tadpoles; common in fishing villages; builds huge unkempt nest of twigs in tree. (Family: Scopidae.)
